Spectroscopic factors for nucleon knock-out from 16O at small missing energy.

چکیده
Spectroscopic factors for one-nucleon knock-out from O are calculated for states with low excitation energy in N with the Bonn-C potential. A method is proposed to deal with both shortand long-range correlations consistently. For this purpose a Green’s function formalism is used and the self-energy in the Dyson equation is approximated as the sum of an energy-dependent Hartree-Fock ~HF! term and dispersion and correlation terms of higher order in the G-matrix interaction. This G matrix is obtained by solving the Bethe-Goldstone equation with a Pauli operator which excludes just the model space treated in the subsequent calculation of the self-energy. The energy dependence of the HF energies induces an additional reduction of the spectroscopic factors for quasiparticle states close to the Fermi level by about 10%. Experimental data may signal the need of some further improvement in the treatment of intermediateand long-range correlations. @S0556-2813~96!04105-2#

The Paschos-Wolfenstein relation in a hadronic picture
Abstract The Paschos-Wolfenstein (PW) relation joins neutraland charged-current (anti)neutrino cross sections into an expression that depends on the weak mixing angle sin θW in a straightforward way. Contrary to the traditional approach with partonic degrees of freedom, in this work, we adopt a model built on hadronic degrees of freedom to perform a study of the PW relation at intermediate ener...
متن کاملFinal State Interactions in Electron Scattering at High Missing Energies and Momenta
Calculations of two-step rescattering and pion emission for the 12 C(e, e ′ p) reaction at very large missing energies and momenta are compared with recent data from TJNAF. For parallel kinematics, final state interactions are strongly reduced by kinematical constraints. A good agreement between calculation and experiment is found for this kinematics when one admits the presence of high momentu...
متن کاملCooper pair correlations and energetic knock - out reactions
Two-nucleon removal (or knock-out) reactions at intermediate energies are a developing tool for both nuclear spectroscopy and for the study of certain nucleon correlations in very exotic and some stable nuclei. We present an overview of these reactions with specific emphasis on the nature of the two-nucleon correlations that can be probed. We outline future possibilities and tests needed to ful...
متن کاملGround-state and single-particle energies of nuclei around 16O, 40Ca, and 56Ni from realistic nucleon-nucleon forces.
We perform ab initio calculations for nuclei around 16O, 40Ca, and 56Ni using realistic nucleon-nucleon forces. In particular, 56Ni is computed as the heaviest nucleus in this kind of ab initio calculation. Ground-state and single-particle energies including three-body-cluster effects are obtained within the framework of the unitary-model-operator approach. It is shown that the CD-Bonn nucleon-...
متن کاملRelativistic one-nucleon knockout reactions from light carbon isotopes
Knockout of single nucleons from fast beams allows one to investigate the single-particle structure of nuclei, in particular for rare isotopes, see Refs. [1,2]. It has been argued [3] that nucleon knockout reactions provide access to spectroscopic factors even on an absolute scale. Measured spectroscopic factors C2exp are smaller than those predicted within a shell-model calculation, C2th. The ...
